The new Peugeot 308 nosejob
June 1, 2007
The 308 may conjure up images for many of Paul Newman a la Doc Hudson, Lightning McQueen, and the champion Piston Cup winning Hudson Hornet of the 50’s, but the similarities lie end with the number 308.
The visage of the 5 door hatch is different although equally enamouring, in a spunky way, despite some lamenting the appearance of what has been described rather unflatteringly as a gaping maw front end nosejob.
French automaker Pug are set to officially unveil the new Peugeot 308 at the 2007 Frankfurt International Motor Show.
But the car has revealed itself to the world as found in official images of the hatch version
It is expected that the car will include a 120 hp 1.6ltr 4 cylinder which as Autoblog point out was also used by BMW in the MK2 Mini Cooper.
The 308 will eventually be available in a wagon and cabriolet version, and a range of diesels are to follow in 1.6, 2.0 and 2.2 engines.
